Maruša Gorišek, PhD
Research Associate at the Institute for Developmental and Strategic Analysis (IRSA) and Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Information Studies
At the IRSA Institute, she is a member of the Sociocultural and Organizational Aspects of Knowledge and Technology Transfer program group. In recent years, she has also actively participated in other institute projects, such as Meritocracy and the knowledge society – between simulation and reality, Analysis of the effectiveness of management of epidemics in Slovenia – International comparison and interdisciplinary approach, and Active Citizenship in times of (post) Covid-19. She is also an assistant at the Faculty for Information Studies in Novo mesto.
Her research deals primarily with the topic of meritocracy and the role of knowledge, science and experts in society. She is a member of the National Committee of the Program for the Management of Social Change (MOST) at the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO and a recipient of the ASEF Junior Fellow 2021 scholarship.
